Weil man aus diesen Versen Etliches ableiten kann, was der Ansicht der meisten Kirchen heute widerspricht.

Es ist bezeichnend, dass die Juden zu Jesus kommen und ihn fragen, ob er der Christus ist. Und ebenso bezeichnend, dass er ihnen als Antwort gibt, dass sie nicht zu seiner Herde gehören. Denn: Es sind keine Anhänger des neuen Weges. Des Christus. Sie bauen auf das mosaische Gesetz.

Überraschend ist daher, dass Jesus sie ebenso als Schafe deklariert. Nur wären sie nicht von seiner Herde. Einer Herde also, die zwar als Herde existiert, aber eben direkt Gott Vater untersteht. Womit man sich tatsächlich fragen könnte, was Jesus damit meint, als er sagt:

Joh 14,6 Jesus spricht zu ihm: Ich bin der Weg und die Wahrheit und das Leben; niemand kommt zum Vater denn durch mich.

It is significant that the Jews come to Jesus and ask him if he is the Christ. And equally significant that he answers them by saying that they do not belong to his flock. Because: They are not followers of the new way. Of Christ. They build on the Mosaic law.

It is therefore surprising that Jesus also declares them to be sheep. Only they would not be of his flock. A herd that exists as a herd, but is directly subordinate to God the Father. Which actually makes one wonder what Jesus means when he says:

John 14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through me.
